What It Means to Let Go + Special Offer💫
A student asked a really powerful question during our coaching hour last week, and it’s been sitting with me ever since.
We were talking about how stepping into the new version of ourselves often means letting go of old stories. And she asked:
“If we believe that everything happens for a reason – and that we choose the circumstances we’re born into to support our soul’s growth – then why do we try to let go of those stories? Shouldn’t we be grateful for them? Is it wrong to release them?”
I love these conversations inside the Spiritually Wired Membership. This is where the real work happens – not just in what’s taught, but in the brave questions that get asked.
Here’s what I shared with her:
From a neuro-linguistic perspective, letting go of a story doesn’t mean erasing the past or pretending it didn’t matter. It means loosening the emotional charge around it.
It means looking back without the resistance. Without the grip. With neutrality. Because when there’s a strong emotional charge, it means the story still holds the power.
And while it’s true that every experience we’ve had has shaped us – good or painful – it doesn’t mean those stories are meant to define us forever. You can hold gratitude for what shaped you and release what no longer serves who you are today.
Letting go isn’t about forgetting your past. And in some cases, it certainly isn’t about pretending what happened was okay. Letting go is about honouring who you’re becoming.
That’s the power of mindset work: You get to write a story that serves who you are today and who you’re growing into.
The mindset work? That’s exactly what we practice inside the Spiritually Wired Membership.
Right now, I’m working on the fall curriculum – and it’s going to be powerful. We’re going even deeper into identity work, energy, and embodiment… This is your space to explore, to rewire, to connect, to manifest and to become the next version of you.
