What I Say to Myself when Old Patterns Show Up✨

I’ve been witnessing some really meaningful shifts with my students and coaching clients lately. They’re not always big, dramatic moments. More often, they show up in the quiet choices people are making about how they show up to their lives.
And that’s ultimately where our power lives.

Because even though we can’t control external circumstances, we always have choice in how we respond. Over time, those choices shape our identity and create a ripple effect in every aspect of our life. This work isn’t a one-time decision – it’s a process. A remembering. A series of conscious choices, again and again.

If it were easy, we’d all be living in total alignment already. But beliefs shaped by past experiences – along with nervous system responses designed to protect us, tend to run the show. Otherwise, change really would be simple.

One of the statements I come back to whenever I notice old stories creeping back in is this: first, I notice. And then, I remember.

Because in that moment, there’s space to pause and say, “Oh right… I don’t do that anymore.”

• You reach for the snooze button again, knowing it means missing your window to move your body – and then: oh right… I don’t do that anymore. I’m someone who prioritizes movement in the morning.
• You feel the urge to react from an old place – and then: oh right… I don’t do that anymore. I’m someone who responds intentionally, from a place of calm.
• You catch yourself saying yes when you really want to say no – and then: oh right… I don’t do that anymore. I’m someone who protects my energy and says no with love.

That pause matters more than we realize. That pause is where identity begins to shift.

→ This week inside the Spiritually Wired Membership {Manifesting Series}, we’re welcoming Marsha Vanwynsberghe – a Neuro-Linguistic Programming Master Teacher. We’re going deeper into identifying and releasing limiting beliefs while creating a greater sense of safety in the body. I’m so grateful to have her back in this space and to welcome her as a regular teacher within the Spiritually Wired Membership.

I truly can’t say enough about the energy inside this space – supportive, honest, and deeply human.

And on the podcast this week, I shared a conversation that made me laugh and cry all at once with Kristina Bartold. We talked about visibility, fear, community, and motherhood – and what it really means to let yourself be seen when it matters most.
