Did KARMA Make You Do It?

Have you ever thought about karma?

When we hear the word karma, our minds often jump to the idea of “getting what you deserve”. However, Vedic philosophy offers a more expansive understanding. Also known as the law of cause and effect, karma reminds us that every moment reflects the choices we’ve made in the past. It isn’t a cosmic judge dishing out rewards or punishments. Rather, karma invites us to make conscious choices and to take responsibility for their outcomes. It’s an energy exchange that flows from our thoughts, actions, and intentions.

Instead of viewing karma as a boomerang that simply returns what we send out, think of it as a continuous ripple effect that shapes our inner and outer reality. Maya Angelou once said: Do the best you can until you know better. Then when you know better, do better. I love this because it’s a compassionate way of reminding us that we always have the power to change our intention. With greater awareness, we can make choices that align with our highest intentions, shifting karma from a reactionary force into one of conscious creation.

So, instead of seeing karma as a bi*#h, why not see karma as your friend?!😅
