Be Where Your Feet Are👣

We live in a world that’s always pulling us in many different directions, constantly asking for our attention. That’s why the simple reminder to be where your feet are feels so grounding. This week, tucked between Christmas and the New Year, is the perfect moment to pause and practice being truly present.

Presence isn’t just about putting your phone down; it’s about intentionally shifting your energy toward the here and now. As we prepare to welcome 2025, consider taking these last few days to embody the saying: be where your feet are. Here are some ways to practice:

Put your phone on “Do Not Disturb.” Create uninterrupted time away from screens for yourself and your loved ones.

Keep eye contact during conversations and truly listen. Show others the gift of your full attention.

Take in the awe of simple beauty around you. Notice the frost on the trees, the flicker of candlelight, or the smiles on people’s faces.

Savour your meals. Chew slowly, taste each bite, and let mealtime be a moment of mindfulness.

Listen to your favourite music. Not as background noise, but as an experience to absorb and enjoy fully.

To deepen this practice of reflection and presence, download my Year-End Reflection Guide – complete with journaling prompts designed to help you honour the past year. You can also tune in to last week’s podcast episode, where I explored this topic in depth and share additional insights to support you.
