What Would Your Future Self Say?🤔

Have you ever thought about the difference between self-care and self-love?

At first glance, they seem similar – both are about taking care of yourself, right? But when you really sit with it, you realize they serve two very different purposes. Let me share why it matters.

✨ Self-care is about comfort. It may look like the warm bath after a long day, the slow morning with your favourite book, the nourishing meal, or the deep rest your body craves. It’s soothing, nurturing, and replenishing.

✨ Self-love on the other hand, is about discomfort. It’s choosing what’s best for you, even when it’s hard. It’s having the tough conversations, setting boundaries, moving your body when you don’t feel like it, breaking unhealthy patterns, and stepping outside your comfort zone. Self-love isn’t always easy, but it’s what allows us to grow, evolve, and truly honour ourselves.

And yes, following your purpose and desires is a way of loving yourself. Pursuing your dreams, using your voice, showing up fully in the world – these things often require courage, discomfort, and a willingness to push beyond what feels safe.

What’s helped me most in practicing self-love is thinking of my future self. Because self-love is not only about loving yourself today, but it’s also about loving the future version of you. Thinking of her when you make choices. Because she’s definitely cheering you on to move your body, eat healthy, leave the toxic relationship, follow your purpose. If you can’t do it for yourself today, do it for her.

This week, I invite you to ask yourself:
🤍 How can I love my future self today, even if it feels hard?
🤍 Where am I choosing comfort over true self-love?
🤍 What is one thing I can do today that my future self will thank me for?

Loving yourself isn’t just about feeling good – it’s about making choices that support your highest self, even when they don’t feel the best in the moment.

I dive even deeper into this topic in this week’s episode of the Spiritually Wired Podcast🎙️ Listen in as we explore what it truly means to love yourself through life’s challenges and why it matters more than ever.

Remember to slow down, breathe, and trust that you are spiritually wired for your dreams – they’re already waiting for you.
