A Mindset Rule I Try to Follow is This: Don’t Make Assumptions

I recently released a special episode of the Spiritually Wired podcast that was recorded live at my launch party. Part of it includes a beautiful conversation I had with Kristina Bartold, where she shared this powerful insight:

“I live in the energy of wanting good for people. And because I live this and believe this, I can trust that others want good for me too.”

This resonates on many levels, especially when it comes to cultivating a mindset of abundance. It’s also a powerful way to shift and transform your thinking.

A mindset rule I try to follow is this: Don’t make assumptions. We create so much pain and tension in our lives by making assumptions about how others feel or think, when the truth is – we never really know. And because our minds are wired with a negativity bias, most of our assumptions tend to be the worst-case scenario.

The way to heal this pattern is by disrupting it. So the next time you find yourself assuming the worst, take a deep breath and remember Kristina’s words:

Choose to live in the energy of wanting good for others, and trust that they want good for you too.
