I Almost Didn’t Go…
I almost didn’t go to New York.
I’d just returned from London and an incredibly full season of events, podcast interviews, speaking engagements, coaching calls, and life. Flying to New York to stand in Times Square felt… excessive.
At least that’s what I told myself.
The interesting thing about self-sabotage is that it rarely announces itself as self-sabotage.
It usually sounds responsible. Logical. Practical. Reasonable.
But the day before I left, I sat down to journal as I do every morning, and realized there was something deeper underneath all of it. A quiet discomfort with the bigness of what was happening.
As Gay Hendricks would say, I had reached an upper limit.
Not because something was wrong. But because something was going right.
Becoming a published author. Being invited to New York as part of the launch of the My Manifested Life book – a collective project with 16 incredible women led by Kathleen Cameron. Celebrating something I had actually worked hard for.
A part of me wanted to downplay it. Minimize it. Convince myself it wasn’t really that big of a deal.
But that’s often what upper limits look like. We don’t always sabotage ourselves when life is falling apart. We often sabotage ourselves when life starts expanding beyond what feels familiar.
I went. And I’m so glad I did.
Standing in Times Square, looking up at our book on a billboard – I let myself receive it. All of it. The milestone. The frequency. The becoming.
This was also one of the themes in my conversation on the podcast this week with Tosca Reno.
Years ago, I owned every one of Tosca’s books and read her column in Oxygen magazine. She was a huge fitness inspiration to me long before I ever imagined having my own podcast. So having her sitting across from me in my home, recording together, felt like a full-circle moment I didn’t take lightly.
What moved me most was hearing her speak so honestly about grief. About losing her husband. About what became the loss of her identity. About navigating a dark night of the soul while still navigating real life. She also shares how her relationship with fitness and nutrition has evolved through all of it. This conversation is raw and real and incredibly inspiring.

These are exactly the kinds of conversations we have inside the Spiritually Wired Membership – a sacred space for women who are ready to deepen their practice, expand their capacity, and step into the next version of themselves from a place of peace, not pressure.
If that’s calling to you, I’d love to have you inside.
[Yes, I want in]
Remember to breathe, and trust that you are spiritually wired for your dreams – they’re already waiting for you.
