3 things I know a little more at 51

by | Sep 27, 2026

I’m writing this on my actual birthday.

When my family asked how I wanted to spend the day, my answer was pretty simple: some quiet time to write, a walk, and a nice dinner together later. Last year was a big one. Turning 50 came with a lot of celebration and a lot going on, so I’m really appreciating the contrast this year. The quiet feels good.

And as I always do around my birthday, I’ve been reflecting on the past year and some of the lessons I’ve learned, relearned… and maybe even unlearned. I won’t share them all here (although there may be a podcast episode coming), but these three feel especially true right now:

1. There is power in making a decision.

I recently realized that I hadn’t actually decided to write my book. I wanted to. I talked about it. I even wrote quite a bit of it. But energetically, I wasn’t fully in. There was still a part of me treating it like something I wanted to do rather than something I had decided to do. Since making the decision, the way I’m showing up for it has completely shifted.

And when I look back, so many of my biggest breakthroughs began with a decision. A decision to trust my intuition. To show up in a way that serves. To believe in myself. Almost always the shift begins before anything on the outside has changed. It begins when you decide.

→ So where in your life might you still be wanting something you haven’t fully decided on?

2. The right support changes everything.

One of the greatest gifts of this past year has been feeling deeply supported by people who believe in me, my work and the bigger vision. I’m learning that growth doesn’t have to mean carrying more and more by yourself. There is something incredibly powerful about having people beside you who can hold pieces of the vision with you.

I’m very grateful for this one.

→ Where in your life are you still carrying something alone that you could allow yourself to be supported in?

3. Get yourself into different rooms.

This year I’ve intentionally invested in being in rooms with people who do completely different things than I do. Different industries. Different perspectives. Different ways of thinking.

It’s opened my eyes in ways I didn’t expect. Sometimes new energy doesn’t come from going deeper into what you already know. It comes from exposing yourself to something completely different.

→ Where in your life might you need to change up the energy or do something differently?

And speaking of lessons, this week’s Spiritually Wired Podcast episode is about something I believe more deeply than ever:

You can’t biohack your way out of stillness.

We have access to more tools, information and practices than ever before, but none of them replace learning how to be still enough to hear yourself.

→ Listen to the episode

Which makes this the perfect week to finally share something I’ve been working on before I release it to the public…

Meditation Essentials + Beyond is officially open. ✨

I started teaching a version of this course 10 years ago. Since then, I’ve continued to study meditation, NLP, energy healing and the subconscious mind, while working with hundreds of people on bringing more presence into their lives. I’ve updated the course to include what I know now about what actually helps people create, sustain and deepen a meditation practice.

It’s a blend of self-paced recorded lessons plus three live sessions with me beginning October 29th. And everything will be recorded, so no worries if you can’t attend live.

Oh, and this one is for the men too. Because they need it just as much as we do!

Whether you’ve been wanting to learn how to meditate or you’re ready to deepen the practice you already have, this is for you.

And now, I’m going back to my very quiet birthday. Thank you for being here with me.

Remember to breathe, and trust that you are spiritually wired for your dreams, they’re already waiting for you.

Sending much love your way.
