Discipline, devotion + saying no✨
Something keeps showing up for me lately…
→ Maybe I need to say no more often.
We’ve been planning September inside the Spiritually Wired Membership, which is usually a month where we bring more energy to our goals, intentions and the identity we’re stepping into. This year, I’ve been exploring a new way of looking at goals that I’m excited to bring into our classes.
And at the same time, I keep thinking about how creating what we want isn’t only about what we’re willing to do.
It’s also about what we’re willing not to do.
Because every yes is also a no.
Saying yes to making space for something that matters might mean saying no to scrolling, Netflix, certain foods or drinks, an invitation, or even an opportunity that sounds really good.
And here’s the thing: instead of feeling like restriction, it’s starting to feel more like devotion.
And devotion is another word that’s been calling me lately. I’ve been thinking about the difference between discipline and devotion.
Discipline says: I said I would do this, so I need to do it.
Devotion says: This matters deeply to me, so I’m going to protect it.
Maybe some of the things we think require more discipline are actually asking for more devotion.
So this is the question I’m sitting with right now: What am I willing to say no to in order to protect what I say I want?
And maybe that’s a question for you too.
On a lighter note, this week’s Spiritually Wired episode is a mini one. I’m sharing 3 things I’m doing to support my skin in my 50s – including my decision not to do Botox right now (although as always, full permission to do you! 😉).

Remember to breathe, and trust that you are spiritually wired for your dreams – they’re already waiting for you.
Sending much love your way.

I'm writing this on my actual birthday. When my family asked how I wanted to spend the day, my answer was pretty simple: some quiet time to write, a walk, and a nice dinner together later. Last year was a big one. Turning 50 came with a lot of celebration and a lot...
